Nominate

Our Guidelines for Nominating Awardees

Nominees must:

  • Be individuals, brands, organizations, or institutions operating within Africa or contributing significantly to Africa’s development.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and impact aligned with the Africa Champions Awards mission.
  • Have a verifiable track record of work, results, or achievements within the last 12–24 months.
  • Belong to the appropriate award category based on their sector, role, or contribution.
  • Consent to the evaluation and verification process.

To ensure a fair and complete submission, nominators should provide:

  • Accurate nominee details (name, organization, contact information).
  • A clear description of their work, contribution, or achievement.
  • Supporting documents, evidence, or links (optional but strongly encouraged).
  • A completed nomination form submitted before the deadline.
  • Only one nomination per category (unless otherwise stated).

All nominations will be assessed using the following core pillars:

a. Impact

  • Demonstrated positive influence on communities, industries, or society.
  • Evidence of measurable results or outcomes.
  • Extent of regional or continental reach.

b. Innovation

  • Creative solutions, unique approaches, or new methodologies.
  • Contribution to industry transformation or advancement.

c. Leadership

  • Display of ethical, visionary, or inspirational leadership.
  • Contribution to capacity-building, mentorship, or empowerment.

d. Sustainability

  • Long-term value, continuity, or growth potential.
  • Practices that promote sustainability and long-lasting benefits.

e. Excellence

  • Consistent high performance and professional standards.
  • Recognition, awards, or proven expertise in the field.

Nominators are encouraged to submit:

  • Photos, videos, links, reports, testimonials, or news articles.
  • Proof of accomplishments (certificates, impact data, etc.).
  • Any document that strengthens the nominee’s case.

Note: All supporting evidence must be authentic and verifiable.

  • Nominations are first screened for completeness and eligibility.
  • The judging panel reviews the submissions using the official scoring rubric.
  • Judges may request additional information for clarification.
  • Finalists are selected based on total weighted scores.
  • Winners are announced at the Africa Champions Awards ceremony.

Africa Champions Awards ensures:

  • A transparent evaluation process.
  • Strict confidentiality of all nominee information.
  • No favoritism, bias, or conflict of interest.
  • Disqualification of any nomination containing false or misleading information.

Each award category has unique qualifications. Nominators must ensure:

  • The nominee clearly fits the criteria of the category.
  • Achievements match the intended focus (e.g., leadership, CSR, innovation, youth empowerment, etc.).

A full list of category descriptions will be provided separately for reference.

By submitting a nomination, you agree that:

  • All information provided is truthful.
  • Organizers may use nominee details for verification and publicity where applicable.
  • Nominees may be contacted for interviews or additional evidence.
  • The judges’ decisions are final.
